Philip V. Keenan Named as Estate Planning Law Specialist

Phil Keenan has been newly certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist by the Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an organization accredited by the American Bar Association and affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. His office is with AMBLER & KEENAN, LLC in Denver, CO.

New Specialists:

To become Board-Certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist, an attorney must have devoted at least one-third of his or her practice to estate planning for a minimum of five years. In addition to passing a comprehensive examination in estate planning law the attorney must also receive the recommendations from five colleagues, and must establish that he or she has at least 36 continuing legal education credits within the last three years.

The Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc., an attorney-run subsidiary of the national Association of Estate Planners & Councils in Cleveland, Ohio, is the only ABA-accredited program for certification of an attorney as an Estate Planning Law Specialist.

*Colorado does not certify lawyers as specialists in any field.

The John Tesh Radio Show recommended the Academy as a resource for finding an estate planning attorney. The segment focusing on money and finance originally aired in September 2007 and was repeated in December 2007. Mr. Tesh recommended that listeners go to the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys website to find a qualified estate planning attorney in their area. The Academy website is also recommended on his site.

The John Tesh Radio Show airs on 260 stations across the United States and Canada with an audience of over 8 million listeners. John Tesh is known as a popular television host, singer and syndicated talk show host.
